Dewa Athena IX

                                                               'Dewa Athena'

Last week on saturday, 25 march 2017 my school held a sport event named 'Dewa Athena'. This year will be the 9th time the school has held this event. The event is actually a sports competition that every class in grade X and XI compete against each other to win. This event is a weekly event so the competition is held every saturday only for three weeks in a row.

the sports that being competed are Basketball, dodgeball, volley, relay race, badminton (double), futsal and 2 games, tug of war and gobak sodor. Each class send a team to compete. I think this event is important because it can strengthen our solidarity as a class and it's kind of a fun way of releasing our stress after a week of studying. (The absence of this event will effect our score in sports lol)

Dewa athena took place in Lapangan Bali, i woke up late so when i arrived some of the competition has already started. The first thing that i joined is the game tug of war. Tug of war consist of 3 round. We won on the first round, but on the second and the third round we lost which means we won't go the next match. After that me and my friends took a break and waited our turn for the gobak sodor games. we won the gobak sodor so we'll compete in the next match, next week. after gobak sodor me and my friends were just laying around the grass to waited our turn for the other competition until it is the time for the dodgeball. at first i hesitated to join because i don't really like the idea of getting hit by a ball but eventually i played and it's actually pretty fun. On the first round we won but on the second round the other team won so its a tie and thank god on the third round my team class won!! After that the next match is the badminton for girls but i didn't participate. so then after sometime i went home to shower because i felt so tired and dirty.

Be Thankful

Be Thankful

Being thankful is something that is so important. There’s always something in life that we should be grateful for. Through my 15 years journey of life I have met someone and many things to be grateful for. For example  Someone I am most thankful for is definitely my parents.  They’re the one who has watch me grow and supported me through this day. And also my brothers and sister who has been a great example for me and be a good siblings. I’m also thankful for my friends who helped me with many things  and cheer me up when I’m feeling down.
The title of this post is about being thankful. And I wanna tell you guys about the story that happened to me on one rainy day. It was pouring rain and I went to got out of my car to get inside the grocery store in the middle of traffic and because it was such a rush (the car behind mine keeps honking, we were’nt supposed to stop) I didn’t realize that I dropped my charger, my driver tried to shout at me but i can’t heard him clearly because of the honk and the pouring rain so i quickly ran inside the store before my clothes got wet. When we’re done doing the groceries my driver told me that my charger fell down in the rain so then I got out and ask the people around there if they saw a charger around the road and when I gave up and went back to my car there’s this man that knock on my car window and asked if the thing that’s on his hand is my charger and it turned out that is my charger and he gave me back my charger. Surprisingly when i got home and tested the charger it still worked. And I’m thankful for that man who saved my charger because if i lose it, it can cost me pretty much to buy it again. And that’s my story about how we can e thankful for the small things that happened in our life.

My Holidays

During my holidays I didn’t go to many place. The holiday started when the final exams were done. And after that I went to school sometimes to see my score and hear the information about any remedial.

I usually woke up at 8 during my holidays because I always stayed up late playing my phone and usually streaming a movie. But somewhere during those weeks I watched a film, SING in the cinema. The film is about a koala that owned a once grand theater but now has fallen on hard times and he was trying to save the theater. In hope to save it he hosted a singing competition that promised a $ 100,000 for the winner. But he actually didn’t have the money and when all the contestant found out about that they started to leave the competition but them at the end they all saved the theater. I really thing it’s a good movie and so fun for all age because there’s so many lesson can be found in the movie.

Then after that I mostly spent my holidays in my home watching tv, baking, cooking and sleeping. And because I live in my grandmother house sometimes some of my relatives come and we played and went out to watch movies.

A week after that I went home to Jakarta and when I was there  I didn’t do anything much. On the first day I celebrated my brother’s birthday by eating dinner together with my family. And the next day I went to Lotte shopping avenue to shop some things and eat lunch. Me and my sister love to bake and make cake so we bought a pre-mixed black forest cake and made it the day after.

On the new year my siblings and I spent the last day of 2016 on a ferry boat but both of my parents choose to went to Bandung instead to accompany my grandmother. It was pretty fun and amazing. We left for the boat at 3.00 pm from our house because the boat left at 4.00 pm and because my house is pretty far from the harbor we left early. On the ferry we pretty much explore the boat and it was a pretty big ferry. At almost 00.00 am everyone gather on the outside deck and there was a party there. We do the new year’s countdown and when it hit 00.00 am the captain honk the ships horn and we watched the fireworks. We stayed there for an hour or so and we had to went back inside because the wind is too much. At about 2.00 am we went back to our home and that’s how I spent my new years.

My holiday in Jakarta was cut short because something happened so I had to go back to Bandung and spend the rest of my holiday there. Well I think that’s pretty much all about my holiday so thank you guys for reading and visiting my blog!! Stay tune for the next post!
